Q1. How and when did you start your Entrepreneur Journey to serve the Wedding industry? What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my journey in 2020. There were less weddings and less gatherings. We took this as an opportunity. We convinced our hosts to give us the liberty to design something unique for the guests, so that they remember the occasion forever. The response we got was phenomenal.
Q2. Kindly describe more about your business, your role, products/services.
Our role is to identify and cater to the emotional needs of our client, within the budget. Some of the products which we manage are Paintings, Hampers, Oxidized Jewellery, Jute Bags, Hand-made Religious Decoration Pieces, Silver Decoration Pieces, Gold or Silver Coins, Plant sapling, perfume bottles, to name a few.
Most of the products we deal in are Hand-crafted. They are specially made to order.
Q4. How would you explain the importance of your role into a Wedding?
We create a memory or an experience for every individual who is a part of it, even after the wedding.
We create a memory or an experience for every individual who is a part of it, even after the wedding.
Q5. What are the most common challenges you face at the wedding you are handling?
Clients always expect more. This is basic human nature. But sometimes their expectations are not practical at all.
Q6. How do you deal with these challenges?
There is no fixed formula for such challenges. One has to adapt. We try to handle such situations, to the best of our ability, without hurting anyone’s emotions.
Q7. Could you share one of your most unique creations/experience for/of a wedding?
Every wedding leaves us with some unique experience. Once a mother wanted to give her daughter something unique, apart from all the jewellery, gifts and all, so that the bride cherishes it the rest of her life. I came to know about an instance which both cherishes equally, so I captured that moment in a beautiful painting. After watching the painting both had teary eyes. The mother still compliments us.
Q8. What type of collaborations would you like to explore in future?
We would like to collaborate in the gifting department where we can identify and design unique gifts for the guests and the family members, which will remind them of the special moments whenever they see it.
Q9. What is your vision for the next five years?
We want to change the thought process involved when we plan the gifts for guests and family members. People feel more connected and appreciate the effort. We spend heavily on gifts, but we need to spend smartly as well.
In terms of revenue, the last couple of years were really encouraging, we are sure we will triple our business in the next five years.
Q10. What would you advise new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in the business?
The first thing that new entrepreneurs need to know is that failure is likely and success is not given. Understand the risk you are taking, and also understand that you will most likely not succeed immediately. If you truly want to succeed, put in 100 percent effort. Effort will always trump luck and skill, so you should never stop trying.
