Q1. How and when did you start your entrepreneurship journey to serve the wedding industry? What inspired you to start your own business?

After years of working in the corporate world, I stepped in the wedding and event industry. I remember times when my colleagues and friends would look upto me for designing and planning events & celebrations. It had always been a pleasure to incorporate new themes and organise a diverse range of entertainment options- something everyone looked forward to- and over time it dawned on me that I could continue doing what I loved by setting up my own business.

Q2. Kindly describe more about your business, your role, products/services.

Blissful Plans Events & Media Pvt Ltd  caters to the weddings and corporate events industry as well as media. Our services have differed from traditional wedding planning services owing to the fact that Blissful Plans was set up for complete conceptualisation, luxury theme and aesthetic design and planning of events. 

In other words, we take the desires and requirements of our clients  and turn them into the most aesthetically-pleasing events with utmost care and attention to detail. This often includes pre-wedding services and guidance to post-wedding wrap up, travel and logistics. As a luxury event conceptualization and design production, our main focus is on the aesthetic appeal, design, budget building, in-depth organisation, production from scratch, set establishment and decoration, florals and decor, theme building and overall design-alignment and more.

Q3. Please share the unique features /specialty/USP of your Product/Service.

Our USP mainly stems from the difference between wedding planning and wedding design. We as a wedding designer and conceptualization company will keep the aesthetic aspect in mind and focus extensively on the design, production and ingenuity of events.

Most importantly, our aim is to make our clients’ big day extra special by incorporating an experience of extravagance. We understand how important weddings are to our clients and aim to highlight their significance by setting up extraordinary designs with well-structured sets and an overall elaborate wedding conceptualisation from start to finish.

Further, with focus on impeccable planning and an eye for detail, our team is qualified and boasts of professionals who have graduated with degrees in operations, management and design.

Q4. How would you explain the importance of your role in a wedding?

When it comes to organising and planning a large-scale luxury wedding preceded or followed by several celebrations, it becomes increasingly difficult and overwhelming for couples to manage without professional help. 

In our case, our scope is broad enough to handle the varying demands and requirements of clients, often with a focus on extravagance and hosting of tasteful celebrations. To sum up, our team works to deliver the experience for which the clients are spending.

Q5. What are the most common challenges you face at the wedding you are handling?

Sometimes clients ask for different demands to be met but at the same time their family members contact us for differing requirements. Often problems arise when people do not plan or discuss information in-depth with their family as any last minute changes or requirements might not align with the overall theme or plan of the wedding. Further, unforeseeable circumstances such as weather conditions, extreme wind or last moment delays can often pose challenges to the planned vision.

Q6. How do you deal with these challenges?

We often clearly discuss how we’ll be arranging and planning things. We often request for transparency from clients and talk to our clients and their families well-in-advance about their plans and requirements. Our team is skilled in resolving conflicts and ensures different requirements of members of the family are met as we chalk out the plan and vision for the wedding.

Further, when it comes to weather conditions and last moment delays, we often have plan alternatives in advance with backup plans for every event in order to ensure the smooth flow of events.

The key to deal with most challenges is communication, regular follow-ups and chalking out alternatives with a fair share of backups.

Q7. Could you share one of your most unique creation/experience for/of a wedding?

In terms of the most recent weddings, our team ventured into an Indonesian island to find the picture-perfect, pristine spot for an Australian couple. The wedding was hosted at a 5 Star Hotel in Indonesia, with the entire sea shore to ourselves followed by fun photoshoots and the ceremonious dinner. We hosted an Indonesian-Australian celebration with traditional Australian cultural celebrations (such as the unity bowl celebration) for the couple’s big day.

This inter-cultural celebration required thorough research, planning and counselling to understand the couple’s requirements and flexibility in incorporating Indonesia-specific dances and fun rituals to add a magical touch.

Q8. What type of collaborations would you like to explore in future?

We would love to explore niche-specific artist vendors, more celebrity performance tie-ups, international networks, themed weddings ranging from underwater weddings to airplane weddings and more. It would be a wonderful experience to host and venture into themes which are largely unexplored.

Q9. What is your vision for the next five years?

We would like to organise the most intricate and exceptional wedding ceremonies. We aim to help socialites, business persons, industrialists and celebrities host the most awe-inspiring and stunning celebrations of all time. By the next five years, Blissful Plans aims to meet the growing demands of people post-covid by hosting luxury weddings and corporate events with specific focus on themes, set installations, and diversifying our entertainment networks to incorporate the most unique elements in the events we conceptualise and design.

Q10. What would you advise new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in the business?

1. Be very communicative with the clients, understand their requirements and desires in detail. 

2. Always remember that “Guests come first” so try to make very suitable and apt arrangements so that guests are truly happy as they can be your brand ambassadors too.

3. Be transparent with the clients about the contract, payment policy and refund policy. It is very important to inform them in advance to avoid any disputes.

4. Do your research well in case you are hosting a wedding in a new venue or destination. Your client really depends on you for everything.
